Pastor Louise Hilbert

Pastor Louise grew up in Jacksonville, Florida along with her twin sister. After graduating from Florida State University, she worked as a social worker in the Duval County school system. At the age of 37, she went to seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. She has served congregations in South Carolina and North Carolina since 1989.

The call from God was always to parish ministry and loving and serving with people in congregations as they shared the Good News of Jesus Christ to all the world. She has also served the NC Synod as a member of the Candidacy Committee and of Synod Council. For the last ten years, she has trained call committees. She has served as a mentor for interns and  now serves as a mentor in a new program, Synodically Authorized Ministers.

The Hilbert family consists of Louise, Larry, Laura, Luther, and Lewis as well as a granddaughter Stella and a dear son-in-law, Marc. Pastor Louise and Larry live in Durham and are members of Holy Trinity in Raleigh.
